Just checking in šŸ˜¬

Hello everyone! I know itā€™s getting tiring saying this every time I post a new blog, but itā€™s been over a year and Iā€™m back officially. This isnā€™t going to be long, just breaking the silence and giving some sort of update on whatā€™s been going on and I promise I wonā€™t go MIA again šŸ¤ž

If I remember right, the last update I gave was my move to the UK to pursue an MA, getting married and figuring it all out. Well youā€™d be excited to know I have actually finished studying and have graduated early this year šŸ„³. Married life has a little bit different from the ā€œsingleā€ life, I wonā€™t get into those details but if anything, its just more phone calls everyday than normal because itā€™s long distance and Iā€™ll be honest, those phone calls are the highlights of my days šŸ¤. My sisterā€™s friend calls my husband my ā€œhalal boyfriendā€ because apparently weā€™re dating but in a halal way šŸ˜…

How have you been? I know with everything that may be going on in our personal lives, we tend to hop online to ā€œcatch a breakā€ or even as part of our jobs or otherwise. But even that becomes such a mental task because we get exposed to an even crazier outside world! If itā€™s not a live footage of children being killed, itā€™s someone being absolutely inconsiderate to peopleā€™s feelings and so on and so forth! I think back in the days (I mean just a few years ago and thatā€™s if Iā€™m allowed to say that because Iā€™m apparently too young to use that term) we would go online to escape our day to day realities but that has become an illusion over the years. In this life of continuous turmoil that we live in and the overwhelming online world, where does one go to then to wine down and have a temporary escape? I hope weā€™re surrounded by loved ones who hear us and see us. This may sound like the most cliche thing youā€™ve ever heard but if you need a break, take it, it may be easier said than done in most of our cases but whenever you can, take that break because it helps šŸ’–
